Before Your Appointment
The foundation of your glow starts here.
Exfoliation is key to a smooth, even tan. In the days leading up to your appointment, gently exfoliate your entire body using an exfoliating mitt (not a scrub).
Focus on dry areas like feet, knees, elbows, underarms, and the backs of your arms. these areas tend to hold more product and can affect how your tan develops.
Prep your skin the right way for flawless results.
Hair removal is an important step in achieving an even, seamless tan. Shave or wax at least 24 hours to allow your pores to fully close.
This helps prevent the tanning solution from settling into pores and avoid dark spots and ensuring a smooth, natural finish.
⚠️ Glow Rule
Beauty Appointments
Please complete all beauty services at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
This includes:
- body and facial waxing
- lash services
- manicures, and pedicures
These services often involve oils and lotions that can create a barrier on the skin and interfere with your tan.
What you use on your skin matters.
Avoid body washes with sulfates before your appointment. These ingredients can strip your skin, leaving it dry and causing your tan to develop unevenly.
Instead, use a gentle, sulfate-free cleanser to keep your skin balanced and prepared for an even result.

Protect your tan before it even starts.
Retinol, retinoids (including tretinoin), and exfoliating acids can affect how your tan develops and fades. These ingredients speed up skin turnover, which can lead to uneven application and quicker fading.
To get the most flawless, long-lasting glow, discontinue use a few days before your appointment.
Day of Your Appointment
Wear (or bring) loose, dark clothing for after your appointment.
Loose pants, an oversized t-shirt, and slides or flip-flops are recommended.
Please remove all jewelry prior to your appointment.Permanent jewelry may remain in place.
If weather conditions are poor, make sure you are fully covered. Rain or snow can affect your tan immediately after application.
Avoid tight clothing, tank tops, shorts, or short dresses after your appointment.
If you choose to shower before your appointment, take a cool water rinse only. Please shower 4-6 hours prior to your appointment.
Do not use soaps, scrubs, or any products that may leave residue on the skin.
Arrive with clean, product-free skin.
Do not apply lotion, oils, perfume, makeup, or deodorant to your appointment.
You may wear as much or as little as you are comfortable with during your session.
Most clients choose disposable undergarments or no undergarments for the most even result.
Please note: any clothing worn during your session may result in tan lines.
After Your Appointment
Wear loose, dark clothing such as long pants and long sleeves immediately after your appointment to protect your tan while it develops.
After your appointment, allow your tan to fully develop without interruption.
Avoid contact with water, sweating, or tight clothing during this time, as these can affect how your tan sets and develops.
Wait the amount of time recommended by your spray tan technician. You will receive a reminder when it is time to rinse.
Rinse with water only. The initial bronzer will wash off—this is completely normal.
Continue rinsing until the water runs clear.
After rinsing, gently pat your skin dry. Do not rub or scrub.
Keep your skin well hydrated by moisturizing daily.
This helps extend the life of your tan and ensures even fading.

Avoid sweating and moisture exposure immediately after your appointment, including exercise, rain, or swimming, as this can affect your tan while it develops. You may resume these activities after your first rinse.
